A Workbook for Young Adults with ADHD

for Young ADULTS ages 18-35

This workbook is designed to be used as a self-help guide as well as the workbook for the OnTrac Program for Young Adults with ADHD.

Like other publications in the What Lies Beneath Matters series, this logical, user-friendly self-help guide/workbook provides effective and practical skills to help young adults with ADHD as they transition into the less-structured areas of higher education and entry into the workforce. It also addresses aspects, like developing new relationships, that they may encounter when they leave the security of a family environment, to venture out on their own.

Juggling academic commitments, pursuing a career, raising a family, and running a household puts great demand on one’s ability to organise, focus and stay calm. This can be challenging for anyone, but if you have ADHD, it can feel downright impossible and overwhelming.

This workbook guides young adults with ADHD through relevant topics like psychoeducation and adaptive thinking while providing the practical, easy-to-follow coping skills and techniques required to help them manage academically, hold down a job, and assimilate into a normal working and interpersonal environment.

There are many successful people all over the world with ADHD that live fulfilling and successful lives. Understanding, accepting, and embracing your ADHD are key principles of this ground-breaking program - don’t allow ADHD to define you.

The best way to think about ADHD is not as mental disorder but as a collection of traits & tendencies that define a way of being in the world.
