This workbook is designed to be a guide for therapists who want to deliver OnTrac: A Manualised Group Program for adolescents with ADHD.
The old African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child” provided the inspiration for psychologist, Grace da Camara, and her GP-daughter, Dr Madalena Bennett’s, ground-breaking OnTrac program. This guide provides mental health practitioners with practical insights and a session-by-session plan to deliver a manualised treatment for adolescents.
It has been specifically designed to build the capacity for more therapists to gain the confidence and knowledge needed to deliver group interventions to individuals with ADHD.
Developed by Safe Zone Counselling to complement the delivery of OnTrac, this guide employs a cognitive behavioural, skills-based approach to help better understand and manage the challenges those living with ADHD face daily.
Results from a 2020 national survey conducted by ADHD Australia identified practical education on ADHD for clients, parents, carers, educators, and mental health professionals as one of the key priorities that needed to be addressed.
